Here at expertise you wil be taught by Jeff who has been teaching since 1995. He has taught at both Diamond Oaks and his current shop.Here you can learn everything there is to upholstery! Whether you are looking for an interesting hobby or a new career, this is the place for you!
Group Classes
Level 1 - (7 weeks/ $200)
This introductory class will teach you all the basics of upholstery work such as: sewing, stitching, precision pattern cutting, etc. This class is a pre-requisite to the level 2 classes.
Level 2 - (7 weeks/ $220)
This is a more advanced class where students have the opportunity to bring in their own project. Jeff will guide you through the whole project from ordering material to your final stitch. Students have the option to work with the auto interior group or with the furniture reupholstery group.
Class sizes range from 6-14 people depending on the level of experience and available space.
One-on-One Sessions
(Scheduled by appointment. $45/hour)
A one-on-one session is great for anyone who has trouble making a weekly meeting or for those who want more mentorship than a group class can offer. All sewing machines, materials, table workspace, and project storage are offered to our one-on-one students. Jeff will teach you everything he knows with undivided attention. 0Many have used this option to help train in starting their career in upholstery!
Previous students have brought projects ranging from boats to cars to furniture to strollers. Whatever your project, Jeff will walk you through the whole process. Some students have even gone on to start their own upholstery shop after taking classes and have been very successful! Everyone is welcome no matter what your skill level!
